About the Performance:
Becoming is an intimate new solo performance by Jessica Runge that weaves together dance, song, spoken word, video projection, and immersive sound. Searching, vulnerable, and at times unexpectedly funny, the work explores grief, motherhood, legacy, environmental distress, and the urgent search for hope in a precarious time.
Created in the wake of personal loss,Becoming asks how we continue to live, create, and care in the face of uncertainty. Through movement, voice, music, memory, and projection, the performance transforms private and collective struggle into a shared experience of resilience, connection, and possibility.
Part danced love letter, part act of witness, Becoming invites audiences into a layered world where past and present coexist, and where grief, anger, tenderness, and imagination are all given space.
